John Cunningham is the owner of Northern Light Art. John has been collecting art for decades, which is how he discovered the unique value in Danish paintings. What began as a hobby business in 2001 has transformed into a full blown enterprise. After experimenting with various venues, he's learned that aligning with a "collectible" furniture shop is the best way to preserve the price advantage of buying at International auctions and presenting them to sophisticated homeowners with discriminating tastes. John is a graduate of Denver University, living here ever since. Prior to Northern Light Art, he was exclusively a financial advisor in the development of commercial real estate. With almost 30 years of experience, he's been able to provide small to mid-sized developers with financial studies models that make sure their ideas are "right on the money."www.cunninghamadvisors.com . Restoration: Edwin Friedman is a well known artist who also has the training and experience to clean, repair, and otherwise "fix" paintings that otherwise show the inevitable wear and tear of being 75 years old or more. Eddie is used by many of the largest and best known galleries, because his work is superb. He can be reached at 303-744-2567.
Framing: Whenever possible, we repair the original frame. When we do, we use Will Mallet Frame Makers, 7007 West Colfax, Lakewood, CO. 303-238-9303
Sometimes, however, the frame wasn't good to begin with, and not good enough to repair now. (Even so, we keep it and make it available to the new owner.) When new frames are needed, we use Chris Gilmore, Mile High Framing. Chris is used extensively by the professional community on account of her quality, price, and outstanding service.
Biographies: The State Museum in Copenhagen has been especially helpful. The Danish government considers it their responsibility to further Danish art and culture.
